Procedure & Recovery

BOTOX® and Dysport® can be administered without anesthesia as the discomfort is mild. The entire procedure takes less than 10 minutes. The full effects of BOTOX® and Dysport® are apparent within 3-7 days after injection, but the results can last anywhere from 3-6 months. The wrinkles in your face will start to disappear. BOTOX® and Dysport® temporarily paralyzes muscles, but the effects begin to lessen as muscle activity returns

Is Botox and Dysport Safe

BOTOX® and Dysport® injections are minimally invasive procedures. The results are instantaneous with minimal side effects. Clients who have received BOTOX® and Dysport® injections may experience swelling and bruising immediately after treatment. Headaches and numbness may also occur. BOTOX® and Dysport® can also affect the muscles surrounding the patient. These side effects are normal and expected. Your doctor may recommend pain medication for the discomfort, but ice packs are routinely recommended to reduce swelling.

How Long Do Results Last

The full effects of BOTOX® and Dysport® are apparent within 7-14 days after administration. The wrinkle-eliminating effects of BOTOX® and Dysport® last on average 3-4 months. After this point, muscle activity slowly returns to the treated areas which require further treatment. However, wrinkles and fine lines will appear less severe over time and with repeated injections. As a result, clients may need neuromodulator injections less often over time to achieve the same results.

All You Need to Know About Neuromodulators

Neuromodulators are injectables that are administered to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by restricting the movement of facial muscles. Neuromodulators temporarily paralyze the muscles that contribute to the movements which create the lines and wrinkles in a specific area

Botox®, Dysport® and Xeomin® are the three most popular neuromodulators.

Neuromodulators are important as they have uses beyond just aesthetic purposes. The injectables are also used to treat chronic migraine pain, headaches, muscle pain as well as hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). They are widely accessible nowadays and the effects, while temporary, can last up to 6 months.

The best neuromodulator is the formulation that gives you the results you desire and that your nurse or physician injector is most comfortable using. At your initial consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss the best option for achieving your cosmetic goals.

The effects of neuromodulators last approximately 3-4 months.

Neuromodulators have been in use for the prevention and treatment of wrinkles since the 1980s. They are safe and without any reports of permanent side-effects following their use.

The cost of neuromodulators for aesthetic purposes ranges from $200-$500 per area injected. The cost of the treatment varies depending on the area being treated, the characteristic of the muscles in the area, the doctor and the number of areas being treated in one appointment.

Our highly-trained team of nurse and physician injectors are second to none. They are continually learning and training on new techniques and materials. From your initial consultation until the end of your treatment and beyond, they are available to answer questions and guide you in making decisions that will help you achieve your cosmetic goals.
