Microneedling
Microneedles = Massive Results
How can Microneedling enhance your life
The needles are micro – but the transformation can be major. You’ve likely heard the buzz about microneedling to transform skin, but this treatment is so much more than just a trend. It’s powerful science at work. Ideally suited for a wide array skin and ageing concerns, you owe it to yourself to speak with one of our experts about how microneedling can become a powerful tool in your skincare regimen.
MICRONEEDLING WITHOUT PRP
Microneedling is also known as collagen induction therapy. It involves applying tiny needles to the skin’s surface using a handheld device. Each needle has a width that is less than a human hair and creates invisible perforations. The body responds naturally to tiny skin perforations by stimulating collagen and elastin growth which is essential for skin renewal.
MICRONEEDLING WITH PRP
A PRP facial rejuvenation is an advanced skin care treatment that uses your body’s natural healing power. Because it draws blood, it is sometimes called a “vampire facial”. Your blood is composed of components like plasma, red blood cells and white blood cells. Concentrated plasma platelets can create magic. Concentrated levels of plasma platelets can be achieved by separating the components of your blood, so the platelets are concentrated into the plasma.
The term “PRP therapy” refers to any use of “platelet-rich plasma” to benefit the body. Anti-ageing treatment involves the injection of PRP in specific areas and depths of the skin. Your skin eventually absorbs the PRP which reduces recovery time from microneedling and speeds the production of collage
Is is right for You
Are you a good candidate for a Microneedling
A vampire facial is very beneficial and is suitable for most people. At times, side effects of prescription anti-ageing creams and lotions can be severe depending on skin type and allergies. But because this type of facial uses blood from your body, there is no risk of allergic reactions. (The chances of your body rejecting a native substance is virtually nil.
Microneedling with PRP could be for you, if:
- You have acne scars
- You have hyperpigmentation
- You want to reduce wrinkles and fine lines
- You want firmer, tighter skin
- You have uneven skin tone
- You are not ready to have a facelift
- You have dry skin
- Your skin looks older than it is
People who have certain blood-related or clotting conditions that require regular blood thinners are not ideal candidates for this treatment. You may not be the right candidate if your expectations are the same for this procedure as one would expect from a facelift. To reverse the damage caused by extreme sun exposure, you must take drastic measures.
What can you expect on Vampire Facial
Procedure & Recovery
We begin your treatment with a consultation and discussion. Next, the skin is thoroughly cleaned using Vivier Hexam Cleanser.
Topical freezing solution is applied to the treatment area for 20-30 minutes to make sure you are comfortable during the treatment.
Next, we remove the freezing solution and apply Vivier Ultimage over the treatment area. The microneedling device is
then used in the treatment area with 3 passes. After the treatment, the area is wiped thoroughly to remove any blood that may surface and a thin layer of Vivier Ultimage is applied.
We suggest the client purchase both the Vivier Hexam Cleanser and Vivier Ultimage for their at-home post-care, including an SPF. Please avoid makeup for 24 hours after treatment.

Benefits of a Vampire Facials
Your facial skin must be thoroughly cleaned before your vampire facial. Your skin is clean and free from any dirt, dust, pollen or other pollutants that could lead to a reaction. After your skin has been cleaned, your personal dermatologist will apply local anesthetics to the affected area. The delicate, thin skin around your eyes and hairline, as well as the area around your mouth, is very sensitive. You may feel the treatment, but it will not cause any discomfort or pain.
To reduce the chance of experiencing post-treatment pain, you can take aspirin either before or after treatment. To speed up the process of cellular rejuvenation, you can also ice treatment areas.
Some anti-aging treatments can last for a few weeks before they need to be reapplied. To keep your youthful appearance, you don’t need to have a vampire facial every year. A vampire facial is a great option because you can achieve your desired aesthetic with less treatments than traditional microneedling. You may require four microneedling treatments lasting 30 minutes each.
The average treatment for skin rejuvenation takes four sessions. Each session should be spaced out four to eight weeks apart. You only need five treatments to dramatically improve the appearance of keloid scars with microneedling. In two to four sessions, acne scarring can be treated.
All You Need to Know About Microneedling
Microneedling is a common aesthetic procedure that helps to improve the look and feel of the skin. Micro channels are created in the skin of the face and the little “wounds” stimulate the body’s production of collagen and elastin. When this happens, the skin looks younger and firmer.
Microneedling helps to improve the firmness and suppleness of the skin. It has many benefits like reducing hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, pore size, stretch marks, fine lines, and wrinkles as well as sun damage.
Microneedling isn’t covered by insurance since it’s considered to be cosmetic procedure. Usually, the range is between $200-700 per treatment session.
Microneedling costs between $200-700 per session depending on the area that is being treated.
Usually, the results obtained from microneedling last from 3-5 months. This will, of course, vary from individual to individual since each person’s biology is unique
Your medical aesthetician or doctor will advise you on specifically what to use on your skin after this procedure. However, often they will recommend a serum or cream that contains hyaluronic acid to use immediately after microneedling. A moisturizer may be added in 24 hours after the procedure.
Microneedling works by stimulating the production of elastin and collagen which are two essential structural proteins of the skin’s matrix. When there is more elastin and collagen, the skin looks smoother, firmer, and more youthful.
After a microneedling procedure, it may take up to 10 days to heal depending on the depth that the tiny needles penetrated into the skin. Any minor discomfort and redness will disappear after 2-3 days.
It is best to wait up to 72 hours before applying makeup after you’ve had microneedling to avoid irritating the skin and creating inflammation.
After microneedling, you may find there is more dry skin which results from cell turnover. It is best not to pick at it or exfoliate because it will interfere with the healing process.
Everyone’s skin is different, and each person has different needs. Most people require at least 3-6 sessions of microneedling. However, results can be seen within a week of the first session – smaller pore size, more even skin tone and a decrease in acne.
Doctors, nurses, and medical aestheticians can perform microneedling procedures in Canada.
The cost of microneedling ranges from $200-700 in Canada. The cost depends on the area that is treated as well as if platelet-rich plasma (PRP) will be used in the microneedling procedure as well.
Microneedling is usually safe to have when you’re pregnant; however, it recommended that you check with your physician before having treatment.
